2017 Happy New Year 2017
2017 is on its way out and 2018 is quickly approaching. Happy New year everyone. I hope the holiday season has been treating you all well and that the Elf on the Shelf wasn’t able to tell Santa all of your misdeeds. This week’s write up will be a quick review of 2017.
This past year, as always, has been a tornado of activity and growth. 2017 started with the bitter cold winter months but our crews handling snow removal didn’t skip a beat. Little did we know then, but one year later we would have some brand new equipment to rip through snow and triple our portfolio! Thank you Kubota!
Our Renovation division stayed as warm as they could while tackling a number of different jobs for the County of Simcoe. Anything from painting ambulance bays, to tiling bathrooms in Midhurst, the renovation division killed it in 2017!
Once spring arrived and the snow melted our grounds crew were very hard at work bringing your lawns back to life. Our guys went on a lawn sweep and aerate rampage last spring. Busy as ever they were putting in 60+ hour work weeks to keep our clients happy. A big thank you goes out to Pete for making that all run so smoothly.
Summer was a blur. It was like the Tasmanian Devil wearing a Harbourview shirt. Our management team had a great time acquiring new rental properties to tenant as well as a number of new places to manage and inspect over the winter months. Seasonal property inspections have become a staple in the management division. On top of our regular maintenance and renovation contracts we tackled some beautiful landscape projects. Thanks Jim for your help on Tiny Beaches Rd South.
Once Autumn arrived we began work on demolishing the old drive shed/barn at our shop. We have plans to roll out some new services to our clients in 2018. Stay tuned for more info. Once the leaves hit the ground the equipment got one hell of a work out doing leaf removal. I didn’t keep count of how many leaves we picked up, but it was somewhere between too many and infinity.
