A celebration of Canadian seasonality, Winterama is an opportunity to renew an interest in outdoor activity; enhance community spirit and pride through people, partnership and products; share the heritage and culture of the community and welcome families, friends and visitors alike in a seasonal celebration.

Winterama is a community event, where the Town of Penetanguishene looks to partner with local businesses, community organizations and individuals who are willing to host activities/events in our Town throughout the entire weekend. Many volunteers, donations and in-kind services are often required to host these activities/events.
Our events rely heavily on dedicated volunteers who are willing to commit to be in attendance for the duration of the agreed upon scheduled time and carry out assigned tasks in a safe manner, to the best of their ability.
Volunteers are Ambassadors for the Town and must be a minimum (14) years of age and must be able to work independently and be comfortable around loud noise and large, busy crowds.
Dependable, professional, polite, positive, enthusiastic attitude and genuine interest in helping others are important and are the prerequisites for the position.
We welcome students and hours can be assigned for Community Hour requirement for graduation.
**We welcome ideas/suggestions, but plans will be determined according to budget and staffing/manpower requirements**
